Imaginar Producers Residency
Disney is committed to increasing access for underrepresented groups to the entertainment industry, including nurturing future generations of storytellers and innovators. In 2023, Disney, Searchlight, Film Independent, and the National Association of Latino Independent Producers launched Imaginar to support independent Latin American producers to produce their slate of projects and accelerate their career development.
Stories Matter
As part of our ongoing commitment to telling stories which appeal to everyone and where people can see meaningful, authentic representation within our storytelling, we reviewed our library of original Disney stories and added an advisory to content that includes stereotypes, negative depictions or mistreatment of peoples or cultures. Rather than removing this content we saw it as an opportunity to acknowledge past missteps and learn from them.
